Description


The following commands are available from the Analysis menu option:

 

Ray Status

Prints a report of the status of all the rays in the current ray buffer to the output window

Ray Summary

Prints a report of the number of rays and their total incoherent power for every traceable surface having associated rays

Ray Statistics

The Ray Statistics command outputs the statistical average, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum of the position and direction coordinates in relation to the global coordinate system for rays associated with traceable objects

Paraxial Analysis (first order)

Provides paraxial raytrace information based on a user-defined ray path

Surface Incident/Absorbed Power

Prints tabulated surface incident/absorbed power data to the output window

Best Geometric Focus

Reports information regarding the location where the filtered rays come to best focus relative to a user selected coordinate system

Fiber Coupling Efficiency

Calculates the single mode fiber coupling efficiency for a scalar field.

Stray Light Report

Provides a customized report of stray light paths including the number of rays, power, intersection count/type and surface associations

Generate IES Output

Generates IES output according to the specified photometry type and writes data to a file in ANSI/IESNA LM-63-2002 format.

Data Collector Surface Visualization

Faceted Surfaces can be configured to collect and display data recorded on each triangle facet during a raytrace.

Positions Spot Diagram

Calculates a positional spot diagram for a selected analysis surface.

Polarization Spot Diagram

Plot the polarization ellipses for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Gaussian Ray Size Spot Diagram

Plots the gaussian beamlets of a coherent source for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Directional Spot Diagram

Calculates the directional spot diagram for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Visualization 3D Spot Diagram

Places a three dimensional spot diagram of the current ray positions in the 3D visualization view window

Geometric OPD Map

Calculates a geometric OPD map for rays on  a selected analysis surface.

Spectral Analysis

Performs an analysis of the wavelength distribution of the current rayset and produces a spectrum.

Irradiance Spread Function

Calculates the irradiance for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Illuminance

Calculates the illuminance for rays on a selected analysis surface.  Should be used in place of irradiance for photometric considerations.

Intensity on Polar Grid

Calculates the intensity in spherical polar coordinates for rays on a selected Directional Analysis Entity.

Luminous Intensity

Calculates the luminous intensity in spherical polar coordinates for rays on a selected Directional Analysis Entity.  Should be used in place of Intensity on Polar Grid for photometric considerations.

Intensity Spread Function

Calculates the intensity for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Energy Density

Calculates the energy density for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Coherent Scalar Wave Field

Calculates the complex scalar wave field for rays on a selected analysis surface.

Coherent Vector Wave Field

Calculates the complex field for polarized rays on a selected analysis surface.

Color Image

Calculates tri-stimulus and chromaticity values and displays an RGB color image on a selected analysis surface.
