The Single Direction (plane wave) option propagates rays along the specified direction, emitting from each of the specified ray positions. The single direction is specified using a direction cosine vector. Internally, FRED will normalize the vector to unit length.
This feature can be accessed by selecting Single Direction (plane wave) as the ray direction type on the Positions/Directions tab of a detailed source dialog box.
