Description


This ray direction specification type emits a bundle of rays from each starting ray position, where the ray directions in the ray bundle target a hexagonal grid of points defined in angle space.

This feature can be accessed by selecting Directions to Hexagonal Grid Points in Angle Space as the ray direction type on the Positions/Directions tab of a detailed source dialog box.

Type

Pull down menu for selecting the method for defining the ray positions.

Single Direction (plane wave)

Parameters

Ring 1

Angular radius in degrees of the first hexagonal ring.

Polar Start

Starting polar angle in degrees of the angle space hexagonal grid, i.e. the angular radius of the hole in the hexagonal angle space grid.

Polar Stop

Stopping polar angle in degrees of the angle space hexagonal grid, i.e. the angular radius of the outside of the hexagonal angle space grid.

Azimuth Start

The azimuth starting angle of the hexagonal angle space grid.

Azimuth Stop

The azimuth stopping of the hexagonal angle space grid.
