Description
This command specifies a new spectrum to be added to the current FRED document. For more about Spectra and why they are used, read the Spectra Overview.
Navigation
This command can be accessed in the following ways:
•Menu > Create > New Spectrum
•Toolbar button: 
•Ctrl + Alt + Z
•Right mouse click on the Spectra node in the object tree and select "Create New Spectrum" from the list menu

Name
|
Name of the spectrum being created.

Description

Description of the spectrum being created (optional).

Type
|
Type of spectrum to be created. Select an option from the drop-down menu. Valid options are:
•Gaussian
•Blackbody
•Sampled

Gaussian

Spectrum Parameters

Spectrum Type dependent. See the Type specific help topics for further information.

OK
|
Accept settings and close dialog box.
|

Cancel
|
Discard settings and close dialog box.
