Description
This feature defines random Ray Positions in a plane in the shape of the user input character string. In the example below, the string entered was "FRED" and the single direction option was selected for the ray directions.

Navigation
This feature can be accessed by selecting Random String (random points arranged in a character or string) as the ray position type on the Positions/Directions tab of a detailed source dialog box.
