Most of the attributes in the 2D and 3D charts can be modified and / or saved using the chart control properties dialog box (see the Controls section below for further information). Each time an analysis routine plots results, the chart settings are read from default settings files, and each type of FRED chart has its own settings file (see Chart Settings and Chart Customization). The default chart settings files can be changed by saving the chart settings from the Advanced dialog of the Chart Viewer using the "Save" option and then specifying the saved file for use in the File Locations tab of the FRED Preferences.
The Advanced chart settings can be accessed by right mouse clicking in an active chart window and selecting "Advanced" from the list menu.
The advanced chart control help, authored by the 3rd party Component One, can be accessed using the Help button on the bottom of the 3D Chart Control Properties dialog box. This fully documented help details each of the features available in the Advanced settings dialog.
