Description
This command allows creation of a new coating in the current FRED document. The following coating types can be created.
•Sampled Coating (reflection/transmission for discrete wavelengths)
•Uncoated (bare surface with no coating)
•Thin Film Layered Coating
•Quarter Wave Single Layer Coating
•General Sampled Coating (table of reflection/transmission coefficients)
•Polarizer/Waveplate Coating (Jones matrix)
•Script Coating (coating defined by user script)
Navigation
This command can be accessed in the following ways:
•Menu > Create > New Coating
•Ctrl + Alt + C
•Toolbar button: 
•On the Coatings folder in the object tree view, right mouse click and choose "Create a New Coating..."
•From the Coating/Ray Control tab of a surface dialog, click the "Create New..." button in the coatings area.
