Description
FRED allows you to "pin" up to four files that you use most often to a list on both the Dashboard and File menu.
On the File menu, this list of your pinned files is displayed just below the list of your most recently opened files. Just click on the file name to open the file.

To add a file to the list:

First, open the file to be pinned. Make sure it is the selected / active file in the Document Window.

2.

|
Select File > Add to Pinned File List from the menu.
|
|
3.
|
|
The file immediately appears in the list of Pinned Files at the bottom of the File menu and in the list on the Dashboard.

To remove a file from the list:

1.

First, open the file to be removed. Make sure it is the selected / active file in the Document Window.
|
|
2.
|
|
Select File > Remove From Pinned File List from the menu.
|
|
3.
|
|
The file is immediately removed from the list of Pinned Files at the bottom of the File menu and from the list on the Dashboard.
|
NOTE: If you are disconnected from your network, any networked recent or pinned files are removed from the list.
Navigation
This feature can be accessed by selecting File from the menu.
