The Auxiliary Data tab in a surface dialog allows user specification of miscellaneous data pertaining to the surface. This feature can be very useful when assigning surface properties which are not available by default in FRED. For example, when performing thermal imaging calculations ( Help > Browse Sample Files: Scripts\Imaging\scriptingThermalImageTeapot.frd ) the surface temperature and emissivity can be stored as auxiliary data for retrieval by a script.
This feature can be accessed by selecting the Auxiliary Data tab in a surface dialog box.
