The FRED Grid Data (FGD) format is a comprehensive file format which supports analysis functions such as Irradiance, Intensity (DAE), Scalar/Vector Fields, Energy Density and Color Image. The FGD file format facilitates node creation and file saving of Analysis Results Nodes (ARNs).
Existing *.fgd files can be opened in the following ways: •Menu > Tools > Open Plot File in 3D Chart •Right mouse click on the Analysis Results folder and select "Create New ARN From a File" from the list menu •Use an appropriate ARN creation scripting command (ARN Scripting Commands)
Shown below is an example of the FRED Grid Data file format. The header information instructs FRED how to interpret and display the data. The file data follows the line entry BeginData. In the scripting language the header information can be set using various ARN functions and subroutines.
