Description


Creates a polynomial surface by specification of even and odd order polynomial coefficients.  The table below describes the mathematical form of the Polynomial Surface.

 

Functional Form

# terms with exactly degree i

(i+1)(i+2)/2

# terms up to and including degree n

(n+1)(n+2)(n+3)/6

This feature can be accessed by selecting Polynomial Surface (Polynomial function in terms of x, y, z) as the surface type on the Surface tab of a surface dialog box.
