Description

This feature allows the user to specify the locations of resource files, chart settings files and script tool files. It is not recommended that the user change the resource file locations. The file locations specifications allow the user to customize the following items:

•Custom chart style files (Irradiance, Vector Field, etc.)

•Specify user-defined script tools

•Specify the custom materials catalog

Navigation

This feature can be accessed by selecting Tools > Preferences from the menu, and then clicking on the File Locations tab.

Controls

Control	Inputs / Description
File Location	Shows location of the selected file.
File List	Lists files that can have their locations modified.
…	Select location of the highlighted file.

OK	Accept settings and close dialog box.
Cancel	Discard settings and close dialog box.

Application Notes

Custom 3D View Cursor

The option, "3D View cursor file (*.cur)", in the File List allows a custom cursor to be defined and used when working in FRED's 3D view window. Generation of a *.cur file will require access to an image editing program (eg. Photoshop) and a cursor file creation program. FRED itself does not offer the capability to generate cursor files.
