Inputs / Description

Defaults

Fast contour algorithm for large datasets

When this option is checked AND either the X or Y axis of the chart has more than 100 pixels, the chart will be drawn using an algorithm that does not include cell subsampling.  A significant speed advantage can be gained when using this option with large datasets.

Unchecked

Draw crosshairs

When checked, the 3D plot view will be drawn with profile crosshair overlays.  The chart will open faster when this option is unchecked, and the crosshairs can always be toggled from the chart viewer.

Checked

Color level count

Sets the number of color levels to be used when a chart is displayed.  If the value is set to 0, then the color level count in the chart style file is used.

0 (use style file)

Initial appearance

Controls how a chart is initially displayed. Options are:

default: uses the style file settings

2D raster: displays a face-on x,y view in surface plot mode without cell contouring.

2D pixel or bar: displays a face-on x,y view in bar plot mode without cell contouring

3D perspective: displays a perspective view using style file

Of the appearance options above, the "2D raster" option will display data the fastest when using large datasets.
