As part of object tree structure, FRED contains a folder called Embedded Scripts which is designated for script storage. Embedded Scripts are no different in operation than any other FRED script with the exception that they are automatically associated with the document in which they are saved and are saved within the FRED document itself. Additionally, there is a set of related scripting commands (see related topic links below) giving access to the Embedded Scripts folder through the scripting language.
This command can be accessed in the following ways: •Menu > Create > New Embedded Script •On the Embedded Scripts folder in the object tree view, right mouse click and select "Create a New Embedded Script" from the list menu •Ctrl+Alt+G
A blank script editor is opened when a new embedded script is created. An embedded script is written in the same manner as any other FRED script.
Embedded Scripts allow all scripts pertinent to a specific FRED document to be saved/stored with that document, which can be extremely convenient for multiple authors working on a single document.
Editing and executing embedded scripts Embedded scripts can be edited or executed (Run) by right mouse clicking on an existing embedded script in the Embedded Scripts object tree folder and selecting either "Edit an Embedded Script" or "Run an Embedded Script". Alternatively, users can use the toolbar button,
