This command toggles on and off the ability to select individual objects in the 3D View with the mouse. Objects can be selected with a left mouse click or by dragging a selection rectangle over the objects. Once selected these objects will be highlighted in both the 3D View and the object tree and can then be operated on with any command that handles multiple objects, i.e. visualization attributes, traceability, gluing, etc.
