Description


Upon running FRED the following message is reported:

 

"Unable to find the hardware key!  Is the hardware key plugged in? (110)

 

 

Solution


This error message indicates that the Sentinel SuperPro services are either not installed or are outdated. New releases of FRED require the latest version of the Sentinel SuperPro software.  The Sentinel drivers are included with the FRED installation at "<install dir>\Utilities\Sentinel Protection Installer.exe" and can be used to ensure installation of the most recent services.  Please be sure that all USB dongles are removed from the computer during installation.
